Tarih: 05 Aralık 2024 Registration for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year The registration processes for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year at Istanbul Beykent University Institute of Graduate Studies will take place between the following dates: Non-Thesis Programs: December 2, 2024 – March 28, 2025 Doctoral and Thesis-Based Programs: December 9, 2024 – March 14, 2025 IMPORTANT INFORMATION For non-thesis master’s and distance learning programs, registration invitations will be sent to candidates based on the order of their applications. The list of candidates eligible for registration will be announced on the institute’s official website. In addition, candidates will be notified via email. Monitoring announcements on the website and emails sent to the email address provided during the pre-application phase is the sole responsibility of the candidate. The necessary registration period will be specified during the notifications. Candidates who do not register within the specified period will forfeit their rights, and other candidates will be invited to register. For thesis-based master’s and doctoral programs, admissions and evaluations are conducted according to the relevant admission and evaluation criteria. The ranking will determine primary and reserve candidates, and announcements will be made from the highest-ranking candidate until the program quota is filled. Evaluation Criteria for Thesis-Based Master’s Programs In thesis-based master’s programs, the ranking will be calculated by taking 70% of the ALES score and 30% of the undergraduate GPA. Candidates will be listed from highest to lowest, and primary and reserve candidates will be announced based on program quotas. However, special evaluation criteria apply to some programs: Master of English Language and Literature with Thesis Program The ranking will be determined by calculating 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the Language Proficiency Score, and 20% of the undergraduate GPA. Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Thesis Program (English) The ranking will be determined by calculating 60% of the ALES score, 30% of the Language Proficiency Score, and 10% of the undergraduate GPA. Master of Arts in Cinema and Television with Thesis Program The ranking will be determined by calculating 70% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate GPA, and 10% of the score from the written scientific evaluation and/or interview. Evaluation Criteria for Doctoral Programs In doctoral programs, the ranking will be calculated by taking 60% of the ALES score, 30% of the master’s GPA, and 10% of the Language Proficiency Score. Candidates will be listed from highest to lowest, and primary and reserve candidates will be announced based on program quotas. Special evaluation criteria apply for proficiency in arts programs: Cinema and Television Proficiency in Arts The ranking will be determined by calculating 60% of the ALES score, 20% of the Language Proficiency Score, 10% of the master’s GPA, and 10% of the interview score.
