Department’s Message 

Master’s Programme in Architecture (MSc)

Research Areas: Architecture, the fields Modern Science and Philosophy, natural and artificial environments, evolution theories, collaboration of Architecture and Genetics, problems due to the relationship between people and place, protection of regional/local values and ecological balance, healthy use of energy resources, and the theories and concepts of sustainable plan and project designing

Learning Outcomes: Students carry out scientific research regarding the Architecture, define problems, and come up with solutions to those problems; carry out an architectural project, draw up, present, and support a research and project report, and write remarkable scientific papers; access the current written and visual resources for the master planning and architectural projects, have effective communication skills verbally and in writing, and abide by the ethics, discipline, and culture of individual or group research.

Eligibility: Graduates of the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Naval Architecture. Graduates of other departments must enrol in the Pre-Master’s Programme. 

Registration Requirements: Candidates must submit their copy of the ALES score, which must be at least 55 of quantitative weight. Candidates who do not submit their copy of the ALES score will be admitted as special students. 

 

Master’s Programme in Architectural Design (MSc)

Research Areas: Biology and Digital Techniques in Architecture, Diagrammatic and Topographical Strategies, the role of Environmental and Climatic Factors, Geometric Systems and Topographic Approaches, Genetic Algorithms, Sustainable and Accessible Design Principles, and Green Architectural Strategies. 

Learning Outcomes: Students follow the modern design methods in Architectural Design, and use the geometric systems actively; apply the principles of sustainable design and green architecture in Architectural Design; develop building and façade designs with the help of the daylight, wind, and underground resources; access the current written and visual resources for the master planning and architectural projects, have effective communication skills verbally and in writing, abide by the ethics, discipline, and culture of individual or group research. 

Eligibility: Graduates of the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Naval Architecture. Graduates of other departments must enrol in the Pre-Master’s Programme. 

Registration Requirements:

 In accordance with the Senate’s decision no. 2012/22 of 21.11.2012, Copy of the ALES is not required.
